• Data Reporting: Users request specific off-chain data by tipping the native token, Tributes (TRB). Data reporters compete to fulfill these requests by staking TRB as collateral, which serves as a deterrent against dishonest behavior.
• On-Chain Verification: Submitted data is written to the blockchain, allowing public verification and integration with smart contracts. This ensures transparency and minimizes reliance on centralized entities.
• Dispute Mechanism: To maintain data integrity, any stakeholder can challenge submitted data. If a dispute is raised, the network evaluates the data’s validity. Reporters found submitting false data lose their staked TRB, while the disputing party is rewarded.

In October 2024, Tellor extended its oracle services to Lisk, a Layer 2 scaling solution for Ethereum.
