But rather than get all serious and paranoid, let’s have some fun with it. Imagine a team of stealth ninja burglars breaking into a warehouse, sneaking past guards, CCTV, and security cams, only to tamper with your Ledger hardware wallet. Or how about a Russian mafia hijacking an 18-wheeler truck full of Ledger devices? Sound a bit far-fetched? That’s because it is. 🤷♂️
I break down these ridiculous scenarios and why they’re all part of the overblown fear of supply chain tampering. In the end, I explain why you don’t need to worry: Ledger devices have cryptographic integrity checks that make sure any tampering is immediately detectable. If even one bit of code has been altered, the device will fail the genuine check and you’ll know right away. 🛡️
