SON GOKU The Monkey King
Son Goku, better known King, is the main character that lives in Bushi. He uses his unbeaten agility combined with his overwhelming power to defeat his foes while wielding his sword and staff.
Lore
After centuries of wandering the mortal realm looking for the best fighters to test his strength, he eventually came to a realization that there was no mere mortal that could defeat him.
One day as he was falling asleep in Temple, withering away of boredom in the absence of a challenge, he was surprised awoken by the introduction of other worldly beings.
These new-found challengers were warriors hailed from different realms that possessed powers rivaling that of his own.
Pleasantly surprised, Goku took on the challenge of defeating his enemies and has diligently entered the arena with a pursuit of being the strongest warrior in history.
CATYCLOPS The Traveling Mischief
Catyclops is the playful and mischievous character in Bushi that parallels in agility to that of Son Goku. Using his feline characteristics, he aims to cause some trouble in the world of warriors.
Lore
Catyclops was originally a part of a traveling caravan of Cyclops Species in which they traveled as a Circus together. However, this cat’s mischievous side was always looking for a little more trouble in return for a lot more fun.
While wandering the lands with his buddies during a transit with his caravan, he wandered off towards a feint hymn in the distance. This feint song came from a mysterious glowing sword lying in the middle of nowhere. Suddenly, a jolt of lightning came down a struck him almost as if the heavens had targeted him specifically.
He awoke in the middle of a Temple in which only one other, monkey-like being stood steady asleep. Awakening a slumbering beast is just what the doctor ordered for this mischievous creature.
ANONS The Faceless
Anons is the faceless warrior in which there is no human identifiable characteristic that can be traced to him. He uses his flashy moves and cunning whit to outmaneuver and defeat his enemies.
Lore
Anons’ entire being is set around being completely unidentifiable. Within himself all forms of race, religion, culture, and gender has been stripped away to bring out his own individual humanity.
Summoned to the world of Bushi by an unknowing entity, he seeks to fight his way to the top and prove that there is no need to identify him by his external characteristics, but he may instead be judged by the actions he carries throughout the arena.
As he was summoned to the Temple, he stumbled upon the image of Son Goku, in which he quickly decided that he would leave his mark on the world by defeating this otherworldly being.

Dohyo | Become the Yokozuna
The original concept for Dohyo was a bathhouse with multiple stories. The inspiration for this map derives from Spirited Away and the bathhouse which the movie primarily takes place in. This map is our middle ground between close quarter combat and long ranged precision fighting.
Lore
In this sumo arena lies a lively and energetic scene. People from all across the lands come to this one spot to witness warriors achieve feats of strength, indulge exquisite cuisine, and enjoy the atmosphere that is Dohyo.
Naturally, as a location that garners the attention of the world’s strongest fighters, it becomes no surprise that our very own warriors have come to test their strength.
Temple | The Spirit Realm Lives
The theme of the map is a temple that acts as a gateway to a sacred mountain in the distance. This holy place is a link between the mortal realm and the spirit realm. Temple Acts as our largest map with a final contention point centered right in the middle of the arena.
Lore
The gateway between the mortal realm and the spirit realm lies in the mountains of Yama. Near the peak of the mountain lies a holy place, Temple.
Son Goku, through his search for beings far more powerful than him, has come to the Temple to seek otherworldly beings that he himself cannot understand. Will he be able to find what he’s looking for?
Bridge | The Crossroads of Destiny
This map was inspired by the idea of martial art combat staged atop a bridge overlooking a sereve waterfall. Shirakumo Waterfall by Shotei Takahashi was a major influence to the design of this map. As this is our smallest map, the design is meant for close quarter combat.
Lore
Long ago in a time of drought and famine laid a barren land of dust. Along came a spirit resembling that of a dragon that enriched the terrain and gave life to what we know now as Bridge.
Son Goku, through his endless and fierce lust for battle, slayed the spirit that once lived in this area. Though the area remains filled with life, Son Goku’s rage remains to be unquelled.
