How to Send Messages

For cross-chain messaging, the steps are similar:

1. Visit app.transporter.io and connect a wallet.
2. Choose the chains for message sending.
3. Opt for ‘Message’, input the message, and the address on the destination chain.
4. Select the fee payment token.
5. Confirm details and send, followed by wallet approval.
6. Track the message status within the app.

Key Features and Functionality

• Security: Every transfer is secured by Chainlink CCIP.
• Wallet Support: Compatible with MetaMask, MetaMask-compatible wallets (e.g., Rabby, Frame), Coinbase Wallet, WalletConnect-enabled wallets, and smart contract wallets.
• Monitoring: Transfer status can be tracked in real-time within the Transporter UI or via the CCIP Explorer.
• Cross-Chain Messages: Supports CCIP messages for cross-chain smart contract interactions or address messaging.
• Rate Limits: Implements rate limits on transfers, defined per token, lane, and an aggregate limit per lane in USD.
• Token Addition: Tokens/chains need Chainlink CCIP support to be transferable on Transporter.

Support and Security Considerations

• Browser Dependency: Transfers execute with or without the browser being open.
• Approve Transaction: Allows CCIP smart contracts to transfer tokens cross-chain.
• Gas Tokens: Required on the source chain for transaction fees; not necessary on the destination chain unless interacting with tokens post-transfer.
• Cancellation: In-flight transfers cannot be canceled.
• Transaction Completion: Check via the Transporter UI or CCIP Explorer.
• Multiple Transactions: Supports simultaneous transactions.
• Vulnerability Reporting: Through HackerOne or Immunefi bug bounty programs.

Launched on April 11, 2024, by Chainlink, Transporter is noted for its security and ease of use for bridging tokens and messages across blockchains. It supports multiple blockchains including Arbitrum, Avalanche, Base, BNB Chain, Ethereum, Optimism, Polygon, and WEMIX.
