Team and Shogun’s Starting Point:
The team consists of approximately 11 people, with 80% of them being developers. The marketing part is led by Brandon and Timmy, who have worked together for years in the Cosmos ecosystem. Despite raising good funding, the team avoids spending on promotional events as much as possible. The need for different gas tokens for bridges, long waiting times, and the necessity to trust centralized or decentralized systems where these transactions are carried out, along with many users losing money by trusting these systems, were inspiring factors for the launch of Shogun.
Problems Shogun Aims to Solve in the Blockchain Ecosystem:
The team set out to figure out how to swap any token on any chain as if it were a single chain and a single entity. They aim to solve liquidity fragmentation occurring on Layer 1 and Layer 2 by bringing them together on their platform, thus providing ease of trading across all different chains and building a trustless system.
Shogun and BeraChain Relationship:
BeraChain has a great community. When we first started operations, we needed a partner we could work with and trust. Both of us were incubated by Binance Labs. The community and users are very important to us. Moreover, Shogun does not work only with BeraChain. Initially, the Telegram bot will start tests with Arbitrum and Base, followed by beta tests with Solana, Neutron, and more.
$GUN Token’s Role in the Shogun Ecosystem:
The $GUN token will be used in various operations such as collateral resolvers, auctions, voting, and gas, and it will primarily function as a utility token. The goal is to try to use the $GUN token in every aspect of the Shogun ecosystem.
What’s Next on Shogun’s Roadmap?:
Shogun spoke at Arbitrum Day in ETC, is working with many different ecosystems, and continues various collaborations with Movement Labs. Currently, there is very little public information, and despite not having a website yet, it has a large community. Nonetheless, a website with extensive documentation, blog posts, and much more will be available soon. Additionally, Shogun is developing a mini-app and a full-scale trading platform. The trading bot on Telegram is prepared to test the API and its functionality and to ensure it can handle these loads. Moreover, the closed beta version will soon be available for test use to the community’s first members on Arbitrum and Base.
