- Sun DAO: This initiative is being bootstrapped to become a Cosmos Investment DAO, focusing on AEZ. The leadership team, with members like @DaianaM007, @cosmicyena, and @0xzo3, brings years of ecosystem experience. Sun DAO is set to pioneer a private-public venture DAO model, intending to involve $ATOM holders as DAO members/LPs/GPs with revenue-sharing arrangements. This represents a significant development in the Cosmos investment space, potentially bringing a new wave of successful dApps to the market.
- Astrovault.io: Funded for deploying a DEX on Neutron, Astrovault.io introduces App Specific Staking Derivatives, allowing applications to use TVL to secure blockchains and earn staking rewards. This innovative model will be demonstrated with their own DEX and multichain governance, followed by the release of an SDK to promote adoption across Cosmos. The project aims to diversify economic models within AEZ and includes a strategic allocation of 2.9m $AVX to the $ATOM community pool at token launch, benefiting the hub’s treasury as Astrovault grows.
- Calculated.fi: This project focuses on creating tooling that simplifies DAO payments, allowing for recurring, streamed payments, and seamless token swaps (e.g., holding $ATOM and paying in $USDC). These tools are designed to reduce time spent on financial management, allowing DAOs and builders to focus more on building. The contracts will soon be available on Neutron, and CALC has committed to giving 25% of the fees accrued to the Cosmos Hub community pool.
- Shogun.fi: Shogun.fi is an aggregator featuring a P2P matching engine, “Just In Time” vaults, and smart order routing. It aims to provide users with optimal deals and efficiently utilize interchain liquidity. The grant will enable Shogun.fi to deploy on Neutron, and the hub will receive 25% revenue from all Cosmos transactions and 0.35% of the $GUN token supply, which could be used for liquidity provision or user incentives.
- Polymerlabs.org: As a leader in scaling IBC, Polymer Labs is organizing four IBC events next year, aligning with major crypto conferences. Their goal is to enhance IBC awareness and support open-source development. The grant ensures $ATOM’s sponsorship and representation in discussions about IBC growth.
- Security and Testing Initiative (@HyphaDoesCosmos): This grant supports enhancing the realism of security testing by funding mainnet validators to participate on the testnet. Emphasizing increased decentralization and infrastructure, these efforts aim to make testing more reflective of the mainnet environment. Rewards are focused on smaller validators to ensure fairness, and eligibility criteria include active set participation and validation on consumer chains.
- Kado Money: Kado Money is building a superior experience for fiat on-ramping in the AEZ. The project includes developing USDC on and off ramps for all chains connected to @noble_xyz, as well as simplifying onboarding via $ATOM across the AEZ. This initiative is crucial for reducing the friction typically encountered by new users entering crypto.
- @CosmosDefi (Joe): This content creation project involves Joe producing structured AEZ content, including a mix of interviews and tutorials on YouTube, tweets, and spaces. The aim is to provide educational content needed by new users to explore the AEZ, thus fostering a more informed and engaged user base. Joe will be working closely with the next grant recipient to achieve this goal, with the next recipient being us!

InterchainInfo (ICI) has embarked on an ambitious project to enhance onboarding and education within the Cosmos ecosystem. Recognizing the need for effective onboarding tools and engaging educational resources, ICI plans to develop a two-part system consisting of a microsite focused on the AEZ and a custom-built onboarding flow.
Onboarding Flows
ICI will create a comprehensive collection of guides and tutorials covering everything from blockchain basics to the specifics of the AEZ. This evolving collection will adapt to the needs of the growing AEZ. New visitors to Interchaininfo.zone will be greeted with an option to engage in an onboarding guide tailored to their level of familiarity with Web3 and Cosmos. This personalized journey through interactive content, quizzes, and diagrams will provide users with a well-rounded understanding of blockchain technology and advanced on-chain functions.
AEZ Portal
The AEZ portal, a subdomain managed by ICI, will serve as an organic, third-party landing page for the Cosmos. Designed to be both informative for new users and a news aggregator for returning users, the portal will be regularly updated with the latest developments from throughout the AEZ. This initiative will ensure that users, new and old, have a reliable source for all things Cosmos, including news, on-chain metrics, and ecosystem updates.
